Gus Wakat, 17, and Marty Wakat, 15, are sons of Marshall and Phyllis Wakat of 1348 Prospect Road. Gus, a rising senior at North Cross High School, became an Eagle Scout in October 1989. Marty, who will be a junior at North Cross in the fall, received his Eagle ranking June 5.
Eighteen-year-old twins Callan and Russ Bryan also became Eagles June 5. The recent graduates of Oak Hill Academy are the sons of Barbara H. Bryan of 2520 Rosalind Ave. and N.E. Bryan Jr. of Fayetteville, N.C.
Douglas Yauger, 18-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. John N. Yauger of 155 27th St., also received his Eagle ranking June 5. Yauger is a recent graduate of Patrick Henry High School.
John Gregory and Charles Stanley, both 18, received their Eagle awards in January. Gregory, a recent North Cross graduate, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Gregory of 120 Serpentine Road. Stanley, a recent graduate of Cave Spring High School, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth H. Stanley of 7047 Penwood Drive.
Troop 17, sponsored by St. John's Episcopal Church, is seeking all former Eagle Scouts from the troop during this International Year of the Eagle Scout.
Wall plaques in the church's entrance hall list all Troop 17 Eagles from 1960 to the present, but there is no complete list of Eagles from the troop's charter date - January 1918 - to 1960.
Anyone having names and dates of Eagle Scout awards at St. John's prior to 1960 is asked to call 345-1952.
