ROANOKIE WOMAN WINS NATIONAL CLUB OFFICE

Shelby Hamlett of Roanoke has been elected to a two-year term as treasurer of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, the international organization encompassing some 100 member groups, including the Virginia Federation of Women's Clubs.

Hamlett, a member of the Woman's Club of Roanoke, has been a member of the general federation for more than 30 years, including terms as president, vice president and secretary of the Virginia federation.
