\ Mr. James William Ridgeway, age 64, of Salem, died Friday, July 13, 1990. He was a retired captain of the Salem Fire Department with 32 years service. He was also a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Jean L. Ridgeway; daughters, Charlotte Hamlin, Rachel Howell, Sherry Tolbert; three granddaughters; one great-grandson; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 1990, at the John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home Chapel, Salem, with the Rev. John William (Bill) Atkins officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home.
