ROANOKE MAN TREATED FOR GUNSHOT

A Roanoke man was treated for a gunshot wound Saturday morning after he walked up on a porch of a Brighton Road Southwest house and asked the resident to call police.

Mark C. Fisher, 24, had been shot in the shoulder before seeking help around 7:45 a.m., police said.

He was treated at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, but was not listed as a patient Saturday evening. Police said the wound did not appear to be life threatening.
