TINY FLAGS MAKE FOR DELIGHTFUL MORNING

"GLORY, glory, hallelujah!" What a delightful surprise on my 6:45 a.m. walk on my street July 4 to see a miniature American flag stuck in every lot!

Someone was busy during the night or early morning placing these lovely reminders of this special day in our yards. A real thrill! (So much better than a half-empty beer can thrown on my yard - or a flag-burning.) A great big thank-you to this fine citizen. VIRGINIA G. PLACK ROANOKE
