DENT, CHARLIE W.

Mr. Charlie Willis Dent, age 73, of 115 Fairlawn Drive, passed away Tuesday evening, July 17, 1990 at the local hospital. He served in World War II and was a member of the Furnace Creek Baptist Church and American Legion Post #6 for 30 years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lucille Brown Dent, Rocky Mount; one son, Dr. and Mrs. Charles Daniel Dent, Richmond; one granddaughter, Laura E. Dent, Richmond; four sisters, Mrs. Thelma Campbell, Martinsville; Mrs. Lula Turner and Mrs. Doris Powell, both of Glade Hill; Mrs. Frances Pinckard, Collinsville; two brothers, Mr. Warren Dent, Rocky Mount; Mr. William Dent, Glade Hill; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Annie Dent and Mrs. Vera Dent, both of Glade Hill; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Furnace Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Richard D. Harrell. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home after 3:00 p.m. Thursday where the family will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The family requests that donations be made to the Furnace Creek Baptist Church Building Fund.
