GOBBLE, QUENTIN A./ Quentin A. Gobble, age 82, of 4928 Showalter Rd., N.
W., died Friday, February 1, 1991. He attended First Church of God on
Hildebrand Rd., N. W., and was a retired machinist from the N. & W. Railway.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Glenn Gobble; three sons and two
daughters-in-law, Charles G. Gobble, Roanoke; Fred S. and Jean D. Gobble,
Roanoke; Donald C. and Barbara Gobble, Hampton; two daughters and one
son-in-law, Mrs. Imogene G. Daughtery, Newport News; Tabie G. and Richard
Janney, Roanoke; fifteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; three
sisters, Maude G. Adkins of Abingdon; Eliza G. Jones Yates of Michigan; and
Etta G. Glover, Abingdon; one sister-in-law, Connie Gobble, Richmond; a number
of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North
Chapel 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 4, with the Rev. Donald Monk and the Rev.
James Milner officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends
from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday.
