RORRER ANNIVERSARY

Adolphus & Ada Rorrer celebrated their 50th anniversary on October 6. The celebration was held at Mount Pleasant Lions Club, Roanoke. It was hosted by their children. The couple were married October 6, 1940 in Carroll County where they have lived for 51 years. She is the former Ada Bethel Smith. They have three children, Herman D. Rorrer of Pulaski, Margie M. Higgins of Rocky Mount and Dean H. Rorrer of Roanoke, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Rorrer is retired from Galax Mirror Co. Mrs. Rorrer is a homemaker. They are members of River Hill Christian Church.
