2 MEN ROB SALEMITE

A 19-year-old Salem man told police he was robbed of more than $200 by two men who approached him on Melrose Avenue Thursday evening after he stopped in the 1700 block to purchase a soft drink.

Eric Lee Fleshman Jr. of Coleman Lane, Salem, was riding with a female friend about 7 p.m. when they stopped to buy a drink, authorities said.

As Fleshman returned to his car, a man approached him and asked for change. The man then pulled an automatic handgun and a second man appeared and searched Fleshman's pockets.

The men took $210, police said.
