POLICE FIND REMAINS, CHARGE 2 IN FAMILY

Remains believed to be those of a man missing more than two years were discovered Friday in the basement of his home and two family members were charged in his death.

The apparent remains of Raymond O. Fauber, 63, were found in a concrete-covered box. His son-in-law, Robert Asbury, 31, and wife, Margaret Fauber, 55, were charged, police said.

Staunton Police Chief G.L. Wells said Fauber had been shot twice in the head.

Police found the body wrapped in white plastic and encased in a wooden frame covered with a thick concrete slab.

A brother had reported Fauber missing in 1988.
