CAVALIERS WHIP DUKE 86-61

Heather Burge scored 17 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and blocked two shots as top-ranked Virginia whipped Duke 86-61 in an ACC women's basketball game Saturday.

Tammy Reiss scored 16 points for the Cavaliers (22-1, 10-0). Tonya Cardoza scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds, and Dawn Staley scored 10 points and made seven assists and five steals.

Traci Williams led Duke (14-9, 4-6) with a game-high 21 points, Sue Harnett had 16 and Monica Kost had 13.
