Viola Bostic Martin, age 84, of Roanoke, formerly of Catawba and a member of Catawba Methodist Church went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 8, 1991. She was the widow of the late Ray C. Martin and the daughter of the late Wilbur C. Bostic and Ida Belle Frances Bostic. She was predeceased by four sons, Baby Martin, Ray C. Martin Jr., Leslie Paris Martin, and Dwight Cadle Martin; one sister, Flossie Bostic; seven brothers, George Bostic, Everett Bostic, Charles Bostic, Luther Bostic, Elrfe Bostic, Kenny Bostic, and Orville (Pete) Bostic. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Ada and Parker Tingler, Covington; Frances and Denny Bell, Clifton Forge; two sons and daughters-in-law, Orville (Jeff) and Esther Martin; Douglas and Virgie Martin, all of Roanoke; one sister, Ruby Linton, Bedford; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Monday, 2:00 p.m. at Boitnott Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Bostic Cemetery, Monroe County, W. Va. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
