GAS-TAX INCREASE FORMULA FOR DISASTER

YOUR EDITORIAL Feb. 4, "Gasoline is cheap," is one of the best formulas for economic disaster I have ever read. The article was so ridiculous that it defies logic. Can you imagine the ripple effect of a 33 percent rise in the price of fuel, which is used for the transportation of almost all goods?

The most outrageous part of the editorial was giving the money to the federal government, which makes the worst gas-guzzler look like an economy car. BOB CRAWFORD BOONES MILL
