Walter Lee Robertson, 64, died Wednesday morning in a Pearisburg hospital. A native of Giles County, he is the son of the late James Kyle and Bessie Willis Robertson. He is a retired employee of Hoechst-Celanese Corporation with forty-two years service, a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U. S. Army, and a member and life time deacon of the Olean Church of the Brethren at Gold Bond. Surviving are his wife, Clara Collins Robertson; one son and daughter-in-law, David Leon and Terry Q. Robertson, Pearisburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Sam Richardson, Pearisburg; three grandchildren, Crystel Robertson, Stacey Robertson and Bradley Robertson, all of Pearisburg. He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Chad Robertson. Also surviving are four brothers, Tom Robertson, George Robertson, and Charlie Robertson, all of Pembroke; Homer Robertson of Dillwyn; one sister, Eileen R. Epperley, Pembroke. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel, Pembroke, with the Rev. Rodger Boothe and the Rev. Paul Reed, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 6:00 to 9:00 Thursday evening.
