It was the fourth consecutive victory for the Maroons (13-11 overall, 6-9 in the ODAC), who trailed 46-41 with 13 minutes remaining but held the Hornets scoreless for the next five minutes and scored 13 straight points.
Ron Pendleton, who finished with 12 points, made six free throws in the final minute to help Roanoke nail down the win. Cary Gentry had 13, Hilary Scott 12 and Rick Becker 10 for the Maroons.
Tom Kalucki had 17, Daryle Dooms 16 and Ryan O'Rourke 14 for Lynchburg (7-17, 3-12).
