FREE CHILD DEVELOPMENT ASSESSMENTS OFFERED

The Parent-Infant Education Program of the Easter Seal Society of Virginia will sponsor free developmental screenings Wednesday for children birth to 2 years old.

The screenings will be held at the Roanoke Easter Seal Center, 4841 Williamson Road, from 9 until 11 a.m. and 1 until 3 p.m. Appointments are not required.

The early intervention program serves children with developmental delays and physical or mental disabilities. Services available through the program, which is operated jointly by Easter Seals and Mental Health Services of Roanoke Valley, include developmental screenings, evaluations, education, socialization activities and a parent support group.
