CIVIL AIR PATROL NAMES NEW COMMANDERS

The Roanoke Composite Squadron of the Virginia Wing of the Civil Air Patrol has announced two command changes.

First Lt. Michael E. Kirk took over command of the Roanoke squadron from Capt. Frank R. Chrzanowski, who then received command of the Group I division of the Virginia Wing from Lt. Col. F. Joseph Copenhaver Jr.

The Civil Air Patrol is the civilian auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force and offers programs for youth and adults in emergency services, aerospace education and cadet training.
