REBELS LOSE WILSON TO AHL

The Roanoke Valley Rebels lost defenseman Rob Wilson to the New Haven Nighthawks of the American Hockey League on Thursday.

Wilson had been on loan to the East Coast Hockey League team in Vinton.

In other ECHL news announced from league headquarters in Vinton, Dayton, Ohio, was granted an expansion franchise starting with the 1991-92 season. The Bombers will play their home games in Hara Arena.

The addition of Dayton, along with Raleigh, N.C., and Toledo, Ohio, will increase the league to 14 teams. - Staff, Associated Press reports
