Robert Terry Watson, age 69, of Thomas Ave., N.W., passed away Thursday in Asheville, N.C. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Lemons Watson, by several years. He was a member of the Loudon Avenue Christian Church. He was a retired veteran and was honored with many citations and decorations including the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and American Campaign Medal. He was retired from the Veterans Administration Hospital after 26 years of service. He is survived by four daughters, Bethel W. Terry, Barbara A. Watson, Rita Renee W. Willis, all of Roanoke; Angela Lewis, Allison Park, Pa.; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Moore, Morgantown, W.Va.; two brothers, Wesley Watson, Jack Watson, both of Roanoke; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
