MAN KILLED IN VINTON CRASH; DRIVER CHARGED

A 32-year-old Roanoke man was killed Saturday night after the four-wheel-drive vehicle he was riding in struck a utility pole in Vinton.

A spokesman for Vinton police said Michael Dalton Grubb, a Navy veteran employed by Newell American Corp., died in the 10:20 p.m. crash on Virginia Avenue. Randy Allen Clark, 31, of Goodview, the driver, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with the crash, the spokesman said.
