OBIT TILSON, J.

James W. Tilson, age 75, of 4111 Richlands Ave., N.W., died Friday, March 1, 1991. He was a member of Villa Heights Baptist Church and was a retired construction superintendent for Ralph E. Mills, Inc. Surviving are his wife, Beulah M. Tilson; one daughter and son-in-law, Priscilla and Larry Stewart, Salem; three grandchildren, Deborah Sherrill, Hendersonville, N.C.; Sallie Hodges, Rocky Mount; Charles W. Stewart, Salem; mother, Mrs. Nancy Jones, Roanoke; one brother, John H. Jones, Denver, Colo.; a number of nieces and nephews including a special niece, Kathy Powell, Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 4 with the Rev. Harold C. Lewis and the Rev. J. Landon Maddex officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel after 1:00 p.m. Saturday.
