BEDFORD - Ruby Dooley Christian, age 69, of Route 6, went to be with the Lord, Monday, March 4, 1991. She was born in Bedford County July 9, 1921, a daughter of the late Frank Courtney Dooley and Mattie Karnes Dooley. She was a retired nurse and was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Elbert R. (Toby) Christian; a daughter Bonnie L. Dooley, Salem; a brother, W. Clay Dooley, Bedford; a sister, Gladys D. Arrington, Bedford; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 6, 1991, at 2:00 p.m. at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Howard K. Talley and the Rev. John W. Buck officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home.
