BUENA VISTA - Howard Brown Slough Jr., age 69, died March 3, 1991, in a Salem hospital. He ws born February 27, 1922, in Buena Vista, the son of the late Howard B. and Carrie J. Slough Sr. Surviving are one daughter, Linda S. Lucas, Ruckersville; two sons, Howard B. Slough III, Holly Ridge, N.C.; John M. Slough, Charlottesville; four sisters, Mrs. Gladys Ward, Mrs. Ruby Hostetter, Mrs. Katherine Lewis, Mrs. Ethel Pugh, all of Buena Vista; one brother, Bobby Slough, Buena Vista; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Dean Staton at the Lomax Funeral Chapel. The burial will follow at Green Hill for Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
