OBIT-CRUISE, A.

HILLSVILLE - Alvin Bergen Cruise, age 77, passed away Monday, March 4, 1991, at the Smith County Community Hospital, Marion. He was was born in Patrick County, Virginia, May 29, 1913, a son of Peter Franklin and Martha R. Rakes Cruise. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Cruise; a son and daughter-in-law, Alvin and Beverley M. Cruise, Asheboro, N.C.; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 6, 1991, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hillsville First Baptist Church with the Rev. William Gunter officiating. Interment will be in Monta Vista Memory Gardens at Galax. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post No. 1115. In lieu of flowers the memorial may be made to the Building Fund of the Hillsville First Baptist Church. Arrangements by Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home, Hillsville.
