Samuel Wright (Sonny) Rayder, Jr., age 48, died Wednesday, March 6, 1991, in the University of Virginia Hospital. Mr. Rayder was born May 6, 1942, in Lexington, Va., a son of Samuel Wright Rayder, Sr. and Mayree Hotinger Rayder. He graduated from Roanoke College after serving in the U.S. Marine Corp. He founded and at the time of his death was operating Rayder and Oliver Certified Public Accountants in Lexington. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Sandra Berry Rayder; two sisters, Mrs. Ann R. Haugen, Scottsdale, Ariz.; Ms. Sandra R. Arendall, Roanoke. He also leaves behind his beloved Dachshund (Feather) and an Irish Setter (Holly). Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 1991, at the Harrison Funeral Chapel, officiated by Dr. L. Randolph Harrison.
