Porter Charles Lucas, age 68, of the Tyson Hills Subdivision, Pulaski, died Tuesday night in the VA Medical Center, Salem. He was born in Wakeville, W. Va., on March 2, 1923, and was the son of the late Kyle Lucas and Annie Harless Lucas. Mr. Lucas was a retired employee of the Radford Army Ammunition Plant. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Lucas, Pulaski; one daughter, Beverly Lucas, Pulaski; two sons, Terry Lucas, Charlotte, N. C.; and Larry C. Lucas, Rocky Mount, Va.; one sister, Mrs. Jean Randall, Princeton, N. J. ; one brother, Leroy Lucas of Portsmouth, Va.; seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. from the Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Weaver officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Dublin, with the Pulaski American Legion Post conducting the military graveside rites. Visiting will be Thursday evening at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00.
