James Gardner Goodbar, age 62, died Wednesday, March 6, 1991, at his residence. He was born June 1, 1928, and was the son of the late John R. and Mabel Goodbar. He was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church and was retired from Burlington Industries of Glasgow, and was a life member of the Lexington Life Saving and First Aid Crew. Surviving are his wife, Nadine R. Goodbar of Lexington; two sons, Jeoffrey A. Goodbar, Lexington; and Perry L. Goodbar, Colorado Springs. Colo.; four brothers, Carl Goodbar, Crawford Goodbar, John Goodbar, and Milton Goodbar, all of Lexington; five sisters, Wauline Hill and Marian Leslie, both of Lexington; Dorothy Carr of Buena Vista; Helen Lindemuth of Buffalo, N.Y.; Gene Psaris of Lake Wales, Fla. Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 3:00 from the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Paul Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Lexington Life Saving and First Aid Crew or the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Harrison Funeral Home.
