AGEE, CLONTZ LEAD HOKIES' ROUT OF WCU

Martin Agee had four hits and three runs batted in, and Brad Clontz pitched a five-hitter as Virginia Tech plastered Western Carolina 11-1 in college baseball Wednesday at English Field.

Tech had 16 hits, including 12 off Wildcats starter Jeff Graham for an 8-0 lead after four innings.

Hokies catcher Clint Creed added three hits and two RBI, including a run-scoring triple in a three-run third inning.

Clontz's complete-game victory was the second in as many starts. The sophomore right-hander (2-1) struck out six, did not walk a batter and allowed one earned run.

Tech (2-2) and Western Carolina (8-8) will meet again at 3 p.m. today at English Field.
