METRO IN ROANOKE IS SLAP TO NEW RIVER

IT DID my heart good to see that ticket sales were slow for the Metro Tournament. I have been a Hokie fan more than 36 years. I purchase basketball and football season tickets, but I did not purchase tickets to the Metro Tournament. I feel it is a slap in the face to the New River Valley not to have the tournament in Blacksburg.

It's a slap in the face to businesses and to Virginia Tech students. Who has the "home court" advantage? It was a terrible mistake to have the tournament in Roanoke. Slighting the fine folks in the New River Valley will one day haunt the officials who made the decision. THOMAS C. WALKER CHRISTIANSBURG
