HIGH-SPEED/ TRACKING THE GOVERNOR

IN HIS wish list for Congress this year, Gov. Wilder has included high-tech, high-speed train service between Richmond and Washington.

It may well be an excellent project on its own merits, but there also could be a side benefit for the governor.

Sometimes mentioned as a candidate for national office, Wilder says he has no plans to seek it and has every intention of completing his gubernatorial term.

But if he changes his mind and seeks to change his address from the state capital to the national capital, maybe he can say he was railroaded into it.
