THIRLANE ROAD CLOSES NEAR AIRPORT FOR REPAIR

Beginning Monday, a section of Thirlane Road near the Roanoke Regional Airport will be closed for four weeks because of construction work. The road will be closed north of the Comfort Inn Motel for a distance of about half a mile.

City officials said businesses and residents on the north end of Thirlane will need to use Peters Creek Road to to reach their property and those at the south end will need to use Hershberger Road. Signs will be posted to alert motorists to the closing, but no detour will be designated.
