Mrs. Helen Vest Stephens, age 75, died Friday in a Radford Hospital. She was born on March 8, 1916 in Pulaski County, the daughter of the late William M. and Ettie Emily Woodyard Vest. She was the widow of Sam Edd Stephens. She is survived by one son, Nathan (Buck) Stephens, Dublin; two daughters, Mrs. Earnie (Mary Etta) Simpkins and Mrs. Carter (Sarah Lou) Simpkins, both of Dublin; one sister, Mrs. Ruby V. Morris, Princeton, W.Va.; two brothers, Jackson Vest, Dublin; Martin Vest, Salem; one half brother, Billy Vest, Dublin; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the A. Vest & Sons Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Ramsey and Rev. Don Sizemore officiating. Burial will be in the Hunter Cemetery, Alum Spring. Visiting will be Saturday at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
