ADMINISTRATOR NAMED AT LUTHERAN FACILITY

Kathryn Boyd, a former administrator of Meadowbrook Nursing Home at Shawsville, has taken a similar position with the new Laurel Meadows facility in Floyd County. Expected to be occupied by June, it will be for both Medicaid recipients and others in the rural area.

Laurel Meadows is one of several homes for the elderly administered by the Lutheran Synod of Virginia. A majority of its residents are expected to be medically needy.

Boyd is active at Zion Lutheran Church at Willis. She is a graduate of Floyd County High, Wytheville Community College and Virginia Tech. She is married and has two children.
