OBIT-TOWNSEND, D.

Dorothy Reh Townsend, age 79, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday. She was the widow of John Edmund Townsend and formerly of Colonial Heights, Va. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Lucy and Clay Partin, Roanoke; Jane and Tom Lahey, Newtown, Conn.; a son, Harold D. Townsend, Lexington, S.C.; three grandchildren, Sam and Chris Partin, Kathryn Reh Lahey; a stepgrandson, Josh Lahey; four brothers, Andrew Reh, Raymond Reh, Harold Reh, Leonard Reh; a sister-in-law, Kathryn M.A. Townsend. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday from Oakey's South Chapel with the Rev. James Drinard Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to a favorite charity or the Bradley Free Clinic, Roanoke. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel.
