OBIT MASTERSON, W.

William Herbert Masterson, age 82, of Route 2, Moneta, died Monday, March 11, 1991 in a local hospital. He was a retired Welder from the Norfolk & Western East End Shops with 48 years service. Surviving are his wife, Hazel Loyd Masterson; a son and daughter-in-law, Earl W. and Carolyn Masterson, Moneta; four daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Robert Mullins, Matthews, N.C.; Dorothy and Curtis H. Maxie, Bassett; Lois and Joe Burge, Roanoke; Gayle and Larry Witt, Winston-Salem, N.C.; fourteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Mike Winters and Larry Witt officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
