LINKOUS, RICHARD J.

Richard James Linkous, age 76, of 275 Nash Road, died Monday, March 11, 1991, in Montgomery Regional Hospital. Mr. Linkous worked in the Merrimac Coal Mines for 29 years, he then worked in the Carpenter Shop at V.P.I. & S.U. where he retired in 1979. He was a member of the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church. He is survived by his wife, Kitty E. Linkous; a son and daughter-in-law, William Lloyd and Juanita Linkous, Christiansburg; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy L. and Harry Wright, Pulaski; Linda R. Sweeney; Lois J. and Malcolm Woolwine; Peggy A. Wells, all of Blacksburg; a sister and brother-in-law, Nanny and Jack Cooper, Phoenix, Ariz.; special friends, Kathy Bennett and Erskine Wells; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday from the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church conducted by the Rev. Jerry Sloss with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are being handled by Richardson-Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg.
