SPRING RAFFLE TO AID ADULT-CARE PROGRAMS

The Adult Care Center of Roanoke Valley is conducting its spring raffle, its annual fund-raiser.

Prizes include a trip for two to Myrtle Beach, a $150 gift certificate and dinner for two. The winning tickets will be drawn during the April 18 meeting of the Salem Kiwanis Club.

The center, which provides day-care services for the elderly and handicapped at two sites, uses proceeds from the raffle for its operating budget. Last year, about $4,000 was raised and was used to supplement what the center didn't get in fees, donations and contributions from local governments and the United Way.

Raffle tickets, available for $1 donation, may be obtained from members of any of the Roanoke Valley Kiwanis clubs or by calling 362-5741.
