\ GREEN RIDGE BAPTIST CHURCH has selected R. Tyler Burkett as its minister of youth. He is coming from a similar job at Huguenot Road Baptist Church in Richmond.
\ THE REV. DWIGHT STEELE of Pilgrim Baptist and THE REV. J. EUGENE YOUNG of Jerusalem Baptist Church, will present special music Sunday at 7 p.m. at Jerusalem, 1014 Norfolk Ave. S.W. The program is to benefit the Jerusalem Youth Choir.
A fashion show, featuring clothing for youth and young adults will be held Saturday at6:30 p.m. at Jerusalem to benefit the youth choir. Patricia Bruce and Nathaniel Dent are coordinators. A $5 donation is requested.
\ MERRILL and ALMA GRUBBS, a missionary couple, will speak Monday at 7 p.m. at Green Ridge Presbyterian Church on Alpine Road in the Hollins area. A potluck supper will be held at 6, before the program by the Grubbs, who are on furlough from Korea.
\ MARY SINK, a member of Ninth Street Church of the Brethren, has become interim resident program director of Camp Bethel Conference Center in Botetourt County.
\ FIRST WESLEYAN CHURCH, 3706 Peters Creek Road N.W., has scheduled the Rev. Norman G. Wilson, radio speaker, for revival services March 22-24. Wilson, general director of broadcast ministries for the denomination and speaker on The Wesleyan Hour, will be at the church for nightly services at 7 and on Palm Sunday at 11 a.m.
\ THE FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN ATHLETES, which has groups in 13 Western Virginia high schools, will hear Willie Sinkfield March 21. The monthly breakfast will be at 7 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. Sinkfield, FCA representative for the Hampton Roads area, won all-star honors in several sports in a Tennessee high school. He is preparing for ministry in the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
\ A STUART EVANGELIST, Evon Gammons, will conduct revival services Friday through Sunday at Maranatha Fellowship Church, 2715 Green Ridge Road. Gammons, from Harvest Worship Center, will preach weeknights at 7:30 and on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
\ THE REV. NELSON HARRIS, pastor of Ridgewood Baptist Church, is the author of "Understanding Alcoholism," which appears in the current issue of "The Deacon," a Southern Baptist magazine.
