PULASKI CHURCH TO HOST BRIDGEWATER CHOIR

The Bridgewater College Choir will perform at Pulaski First Church of the Brethren, 1749 Newbern Road, Sunday at 11 a.m.

The choir is directed by Jesse E. Hopkins, Jr., associate professor of music at Bridgewater College. He is a Pulaski native, son of Jesse and Arbitus Hopkins.

The 46-voice choir will sing selections from "A New Creation," by Rene Clausen; "St. Moses Serpentem," by Heinrich Shutz, and "The Fruit of the Spirit is Love," by Johann Geisler.

The college Chorale and Handbell Choir will present special numbers during the program. The Handbell Choir is directed by senior Molly Bowman Johnson and sophomore Betsy Bechtel.
