TIRED OF TAXES PUT INTO HORN-TOOTING

REFERRING to the Commentary Page article March 7 by Donald Bartol, "The selling of magnet schools": I am tired of seeing my tax money wasted on this horn-tooting crapola on TV.

I would like to see my tax dollars spent to help the average students become productive adults. We do not need all the frills our tax money is being wasted on today. I hope the School Board will accept his challenge and answer his questions.

We need more people like Mr. Bartol whose past service as teacher, principal and School Board member gives him the expertise to see that our tax money is spent more efficiently. AMAND COCHENER ROANOKE
