The Blue Devils (2-2) scored the tying and winning runs when Devin Floyd hit a bases-loaded single with none out to cap the rally.
Floyd also got the win, his second of the week. He pitched the final three innings, giving up one hit and striking out five.
The Cavaliers (2-1) had taken a 6-5 lead by scoring on Dennis Cobler's sacrifice fly. Grayson County had rallied to tie the score 5-5 in the bottom of the fourth on Wes Billings' two-run homer.
In other baseball:
Shawsville right-hander Danny Lovern pitched a no-hitter as the Shawnees defeated visiting Rocky Gap 10-0 in a game shortened to five innings because of the "10-run slaughter" rule.
Danny Lovern, a junior, struck out 13 of the 15 he faced. The other two outs came on groundouts. Lovern also drove in three runs.
Shawsville's Robert Ryan hit a two-run home run in the second inning, and freshman Ben Basham drove in three runs.
The game did not count in the Mountain Empire District standings. Shawsville is 3-1, and Rocky Gap is 0-2.
At Riner, Chris Shark struck out 10, walked eight and yielded five hits as Auburn (2-2) defeated Galax 9-4.
B.J. Wojciechowski had a two-run home run and an RBI-double, and Skip Thompson hit a double and a triple and drove in three runs for the Eagles.
At Fort Chiswell, the host Pioneers rallied from a 4-0 deficit to beat Group AA Graham 5-4 as B.W. Hill pitched a seven-hitter and drove in three runs. Hill also drove in the winning runs for Fort Chiswels (3-0).
Shawn Dalton and Doug James also hammered out a couple of hits for the Pioneers and each drove in a run. Hill allowed Graham (0-1) two hits over the last five innings.
\ SOFTBALL: Leigh Stull, Yo Helm and Katherine Minahan had three hits each as Salem defeated Carroll County 17-6 in a non-district game.
Debbie Cobb, Kelly Robinson, Pam Feazell and Dee Garrett had two hits each for the Spartans (4-0). Helm had four RBI.
Jolie Johnson had three hits and an RBI for the Cavaliers (0-1), and pitcher Tracy Hill had two hits.
William Fleming won its first game in three starts by outslugging Alleghany 14-8 on the Colonels' field. Linda Bell had two triples and a double to drive in four runs.
\ BOYS' SOCCER: James River (1-0-1) took a 3-0 victory over Alleghany (0-2) in Covington as Tom Eide scored a goal and assisted on another.
\ GIRLS' SOCCER: Chanda Ingram scored a goal in the first half, Lisa Beightol scored on a penalty shot in the second half and Jennifer Kagey led a strong defensive effort as Cave Spring stopped visiting Martinsville 2-0 in a non-district match.
Kristal Lassiter assisted on Ingram's goal. Allison McWhorter had six saves and Michelle Godley had eight for the Knights (2-1).
Scherrie Dalton had 16 saves for the Bulldogs.
