Tyrone Mosby, who led Cumberland to the Group A championship game with 18 points and 7.9 rebounds per game, and Bill Cooper, who averaged 19.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, two assists and two steals for Woodstock Central, made the team, as did Delwyn Dillard of Sussex Central and Luther Bates of Fluvanna.
Woodstock Central's Jerry Walters was selected coach of the year.
Balloting was done by sportswriters and broadcasters from throughout Virginia.
Making the second team were Patrick Smith of Bland, Allen Green of George Wythe of Wytheville, Steve McNulty of Honaker, Jamie Hackney of Haysi and Bill Bevins of J.J. Kelly.
Campbell, a 6-foot-3 senior, led the Pioneers in scoring with 16 points and averaged 7.3 rebounds.
Walters guided Woodstock Central to a 16-0 regulas-season record in the Bull Run District and an 18-2 overall mark in the regular season. His only two losses were against Group AA Warren. This year, he passed the 300-victory mark. Despite losing three starters from last year, including two top scorers, Walters led Woodstock Central to its third consecutive Group A tournament.
