GUDRUN FREEMAN of Roanoke has received her doctorate degree in family studies from Virginia Tech.

Freeman who received a master's degree from Hollins College, has been a family counselor in the Roanoke Valley for 12 years. During that time she served as the counseling coordinator for Mental Health Services of the Roanoke Valley.

She practices at the Center For Family Counseling.
