NAVY PETTY OFFICER 1ST CLASS RICKY BRATTON, son of George H. and Betty S. Bratton of 4332 Oliver Road N.E., recently reported for duty aboard the aircraft carrier USS America based in Norfolk. He is a 1975 graduate of Andrew Lewis High School.

\ NAVY SEAMAN RECRUIT GREGORY C. FARRIS, son of Charles R. and Barbara L. Farris of 804 Halifax Circle, Vinton, recently reported for duty aboard the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga, based in Mayport, Fla. He is a 1989 graduate of William Byrd High School.

\ NAVY PETTY OFFICER 3RD CLASS JAMES W. BEANE of Roanoke recently reported for duty with the precommissioned unit aircraft carrier George Washington, based at Newport News.

Beane is a 1986 graduate of Patrick Henry High School.

\ AIRMAN PATRICIA A. HOFFMAN, daughter of Robert E. and Linda K. Hoffman of 304 Pin Oak Drive, Blue Ridge, has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

Hoffman is a 1989 graduate of Lord Botetourt High School.
