The concert concludes the church's 1990-91 fine arts series. It will begin at 4 p.m.
The choir consists of 18 boy choristers and 12 men. It is directed by Philip Moore, organist and master of music at York Minster.
The concert will include vocal music from the Renaissance and early Baroque periods, the later 17th and 18th centuries and the 19th and 20th centuries.
In addition, a number of organ compositions will be selected for the program from the work of Dietrich Buxtehude, J.S. Bach, Georges Krieger, Joseph Jongen and Marcel Dupre.
York Minster is the seat of the Archbishop of York, Anglican Primate of England. There has been a Christian church on the site since 627 and a functioning choir school since 637.
The York Minster Choir is on its second tour of North America, the first having taken place in 1987. The tour includes 10 concerts in nine cities. The Greene Memorial performance will be the only one in Virginia.
There will be no charge for admission to Sunday's concert, but an offering will be collected to help defray expenses of the fine arts series.
