Amy Elizabeth Trout and James Franklin Owens were married April 6, 1991, in
Raleigh Court United Methodist Church. Dr. Gregory L. Adkins was the
officiating clergyman. The reception was held at Hotel Patrick Henry. The maid
of honor was Cindy Trout, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Jennifer
Taney and Kendall Taney, cousins of the bride, Paige Chappell, Andrea Cornett,
Debbi Hubbard-Cornett, and Chris Smith. The best man was Franklin Owens,
father of the groom. The ushers were Chip Trout, brother of the bride, Todd
Clingenpeel, Joe Offnick, Dennis Walker, and Kerry Wood. The flowergirl was
Brandy Owens, and the ringbearer was Nathan Allen. The guest book was attended
by Angie Hodges. The bride wore a satin gown, fashioned with a scalloped
neckline, leg-of-mutton sleeves, and a fitted basque waistline. The gown,
adorned with sequins and seed pearls on appliques of Schiffli lace, had a full
skirt and a cathedral train, which had matching appliques of lace over
illusion. She carried a cascading bouquet of bridal white roses, stephanotis,
Dendrobium orchids, and ivy. The bride is a daughter of Glen and Carlton
Trout, of Roanoke, Va. She graduated from Patrick Henry High School. The
groom, a son of Brenda and Franklin Owens, of Roanoke, Va., graduated from
Northside High School. Grandparents of the bride are Dr. and Mrs. W.B.
Garland, Jr., Mrs. Alleene Trout, and the late Mr. Carl E. Trout, all of
Roanoke. Grandparents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. James Gordan, of Roanoke,
Va., Mr. Luther R. Huff, and the late Pearl Milliron Huff, of Salem, Va. After
a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the newlyweds will live in Roanoke.
