GALAX SELECTS KESSINGER

The Galax School Board has chosen Temple Kessinger, head football coach at Rockbridge High School in Lexington, to become the new football coach and athletic director for Galax High School.

The appointment will be effective July 1.

Superintendent Jimmy Stuart said the city school board had 20 applicants. It interviewed seven and narrowed the field to four before Kessinger was selected.
