NUN REPORTS TORTURE, RAPE IN GUATEMALA

Six men, one wearing a police uniform, abducted an American nun in Guatemala, raped her repeatedly, tortured her with cigarettes and lowered her into a pit with dead bodies, the nun said in court papers.

In two depositions filed in U.S. District Court in Louisville, Ky., Sister Diana Ortiz said she was abducted at gunpoint from the garden of a retreat house by three unidentified men.

Ortiz said she believes Guatemalan security forces were involved.
