Jesse V. (Sam) Bass, age 56, of 4240 Cloverdale Rd., died Saturday, April 13, 1991. He was a retired barber. He is survived by his wife, Lucille L. Bass; three sons, Tony Swartz, Timothy Bass and Donald Bass; two stepsons, Wayland and Thomas Hall; one daughter, Kimberly Swartz; his mother, Mrs. Edna L. Gordon. Funeral service will be conducted from the graveside, Old Dominion Memorial Gardens 3:00 p.m. Monday, April 15, with the Rev. Earl Clemons officiating. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel.
