Pamela Elliott and M. Russell Rakestraw, II, were married April 13, 1991 at
Covenant Presbyterian Church. The Reverend James F. Riach officiated. The
bride was escorted by her godfather, Jack R. Garrison of Roanoke. The
reception was held at the Jefferson Club. The bride is the daughter of Mrs.
Marilyn K. Elliott and the late Roy E. Elliott of Roanoke. She is the
granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Kimmerling and Mr. and Mrs. James
W. Elliott, Sr., of Roanoke. The groom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Maurice Russell Rakestraw of Louisville, Kentucky. The maid of honor was
Cynthia Elliott, sister of the bride. The best man was John M. Monohan, III of
Louisville, Kentucky. Ushers were Daniel B. C. Gardiner, James R. Patterson,
James M. Rakestraw, M. Russell Rakestraw, III and Joseph R. Rakestraw. The
bride graduated from Westhampton College of the University of Richmond and the
groom is a graduate of the University of Louisville. The couple will live in
Prince William County, Virginia.
